As Franciscan women we use our God-given talents to respond to needs within the Church and society as far as we are able. Many of our Sisters are engaged in the well-established ministries of health care, education, pastoral care, parish ministry, care of the elderly, and  religious education. But our occupational talents cover a broad spectrum. Consequently, you may find among us a pharmacist, a psychologist, a massage therapist, a cook, a housekeeper, a recreational therapist, a social worker, a computer expert, a biochemist, or a librarian. In addressing diverse human needs, we currently minister to the elderly poor, the disabled, hospice participants, the homeless, Native American and Hispanic communities as well as traditional Catholic parishes.

What we do in our ministry throughout our Province depends on the talents God has given us. We seek to discover ways we can best develop and use our gifts to respond to human needs--spiritual, physical and emotional. In the process we seek the spiritual growth that leads to discovering and expressing our authentic selves.

And along the way, we laugh, play games, hike, camp, plant flowers, sing, play musical instruments, watch the sun rise, sometimes cry, but always gather strength from one another and God to find joy in the journey.

As Sisters we see ourselves as part of the greater human family. We implement this belief by providing on our Motherhouse campus in Colorado Springs, CO, facilities and services to the general public. These include Saint Francis of Assisi Parish and the Franciscan Retreat and Conference Center.

Our Motherhouse campus provides a home for a vibrant and growing faith community of over 1000 families, Saint Francis of Assisi Parish .

The Sisters maintain a retreat and conference center which provides overnight accommodations and meeting facilities to groups or individuals seeking an environment permeated by the beauty of God's creation, Franciscan Retreat Center.

Our belief in the sacredness of persons is expressed in our commitment to the well-being of individuals , groups and families through services provided at Mount Saint Francis Nursing Center, the Franciscan Community Counseling Program, Inc., and The Touch of Wellness.

With a tradition that includes over a century of experience in providing health care, the Sisters at Mount Saint Francis continue their mission through the Mount Saint Francis Nursing Center.

The Sisters sponsor a non-profit community service agency that promotes holistic living through psychological counseling, testing, and personal and family enrichment programs, The  Franciscan Community Counseling Program, Inc.

Our campus also houses a licensed massage therapy practice which seeks to promote integration of body, mind, and spirit, The Touch of Wellness.
