Job Information

Position Overview: Provide the Sisters of Saint Francis with accurate financial information. Assist the Executive Director of Finance with all aspects of accounting and to ensure the validity of the information provided to management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

People: Perform the Accounts Payable duties for the Sisters of Saint Francis, to include verifying all invoices for proper approval, entry of invoices for payment, maintaining vendor files, verifying receipt of all invoices through statements or other appropriate sources, and obtaining missing documentation/invoices from vendors. Cross train as appropriate to assist with all aspects of accounting and payroll.  Develop and maintain a good working rapport with other personnel and vendors and create and maintain a calm atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, with a positive emphasis.

Quality: Enter all deposits made to the Sisters of St Francis in the accounting software, prepare the cost allocation spreadsheet to ensure accurate and timely allocations to all ministries and departments, prepare financial reports, assist in the monthly, quarterly and yearly general ledger reconciliations, and monthly bank reconciliations.

Qualifications: Associates’ degree in a business field and one to two years related experience and/or training, experience and accuracy with Excel, 10 key, accounting software, and a demonstrated ability for accuracy and attention to detail.

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
