Position Overview:   The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the professional staff by supporting each sister’s highest functional capacity.  The CNA provides a pleasant, neat, peaceful, and comfortable environment for the sisters who reside at the Sisters Care Unit under the direction of the nursing and medical staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

People: Keeps the sister’s living area and work areas tidy, transfers sisters from one surface to another utilizing good body mechanics and safety practices for both, accurately measures and records vital signs, implements rehabilitative procedures such as range of motion, ambulation, and positioning, administers medications per standards of practice.

Quality: Follows the direction provided by each sister’s individual care plan, encouraging self-care whenever possible, assists sisters to be in the right place at the right time, such as meals, activities, church services and appointments, implements procedures for care of sisters’ personal property, reports observations of changes in sisters’ health status to the Charge Nurse promptly and completes a note in their respective charts, encourages socialization and participation in various activities, provides opportunities for sisters to spend time outdoors.

Operational Excellence:  Participates in planning of care for sisters, assists sisters with ADLs, uses supplies and equipment with economy and proper care, assists in the admission and discharge procedures of sisters, and provides after death care in accordance with policies.

Qualifications: Must have and maintain a C.N.A. license in good standing from the State of Colorado,  must have at least 5 years of CNA experience, QMAP responsibility at hire or willing to become QMAP certified within agreed upon timeframe,  computer experience with Word and Excel is a plus.

Schedule:   PRN position (as needed) to start, with opportunity for regular schedule (full-time) at a later date.

Title Facilities Tech II: Full-time

Job Information

Position Overview: Responsible for maintenance and repair of campus facilities to include the repair/troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance issues campus wide, and for preventive maintenance on various equipment.

People: Works as a member of a team providing excellent customer service to the Ministries, responding to problems and requests for assistance. Monitors activities on campus to ensure a safe environment for all employees, residents, Sisters, and guests. 

Quality: Maintains equipment in an operable condition at all times. Necessary repairs will be reported to the Supervisor. Assists with auto care, including car washing, gassing, and minor repairs. Reports all problems and concerns immediately and makes supply runs, as requested.

Operational Excellence: Performs repairs on electrical problems, including bulb replacement, ballast exchanges, installation of new lighting, nurse call cords, and any other problems involving 110 voltage. Performs repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures and piping, including repairs to broken pipes. Responsible for HVAC units, filter replacement, and checking and maintaining all heating and cooling units. Performs general maintenance including carpet and tile installation, painting, carpentry, and masonry work.

Performs snow removal duties as assigned, to include plowing, ice removal, clearing walks and roads and may assist in traffic control for campus activities.

Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, ceramic tile, and floor repair.
  • Experience in general facilities maintenance and repairs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Colorado driver’s license.

 

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 7:30 am till 4:00 pm.
