Position Overview: Under the direction of the Chief Executive Officer, develops and coordinates Human Resources activities such as employment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training, and employee services by performing duties personally or through subordinates. Responsible for promoting the philosophy, mission, and goals of the Sisters of Saint Francis, and managing Human Resources functions in compliance with local, federal, and state laws, along with organization policies. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

People: The Human Resources Director assists department directors and managers with job description creation and updates, employee recruiting, pay ranges, and disciplinary actions (counseling to terminations). The HR Director also manages the worker’s compensation insurance and claims, the unemployment claims for the Mount St. Francis ministries and other legal and compliance issues. The HR Director supervises two employees in the Human Resources Department and presents human resources and benefits information at new employee orientations.

Quality:  The HR Director coordinates and negotiates the annual employee benefits package with the broker, consults legal counsel to ensure policies and decisions comply with federal and state law, oversees the campus payroll functions to ensure all associates are paid according to Department of Labor requirements, and recommends or conducts investigations of possible misconduct, as necessary.

Operational Excellence: The HR Director manages the employee benefit programs, including health and dental plans, life insurance, and short-term and long-term disability insurance. The HR Director develops and maintains a human resources system that meets top management’s information needs, prepares and adheres to annual budgets, and conducts salary surveys to establish internal wage scales. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or five to six years related experience
  • Knowledge and ability to successfully perform the essential duties of the position 

Schedule: Typically 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Title Administrative Assistant Franciscan Community Counseling – Full Time

Assists the Executive Director in a confidential manner and occasionally other staff at Franciscan Community Counseling. Assists the Executive Director in researching D.O.R.A. regulations and grant writing opportunities. Gathers statistical data on client satisfaction and demographic information. Performs clerical functions such as preparing letters for office use or correspondence with clients, receiving visitors, filing, and scheduling. Responsible for maintaining patient accounts and accounts receivable.  Responsible for billing insurances, communicating with insurances, and complying with insurance laws. Coordinates the Adopt- a-Sister program and maintains all donor accounts. Interfaces with our psychiatrist, schedules the medicine clinic, and maintains patient records.  Resolves patient issues that may arise with medications. Makes suggestions to the Executive Director for process improvement of administrative tasks. Manages the MSF Columbarium to include pursuing and completing sales, coordination of inurnments and engraving.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain client confidentiality according to all HIPPA privacy standards
  • Use of Valent EHR to post client sessions, payments, and charity performed
  • Bill for all insurance companies, clients, and grants
  • Verify insurance eligibility of clients
  • Answer phones, interface with clients and prospective clients; do intakes of new clients
  • Prepare and reconcile bank deposits
  • Maintain financial files for clients
  • Type, copy and distribute mail, faxes, correspondence, and forms.
  • Transcribe and distribute Board minutes and attend Board meetings
  • Prepare brochures, publicity, mailing (including bulk mailing), registrations for workshops, groups, and maintain records on such
  • Keep statistics on clients and Quality Assurance (CQU)
  • Attend monthly staff meetings
  • Close financial and Valant files as therapists terminate with clients. Enter all demographic information on new clients into Valant
  • Manage 3-month follow-ups after termination of counseling
  • Follow up on insurance payments or denials
  • Manage the Adopt- a-Sister program to include preparing letters, mailings, new-adopter packets, billing, and donor relations
  • Manage MSF Columbarium sales, coordinate inurnments and engraving

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Must have knowledge of insurance claims and medical coding
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and QuickBooks. Knowledge of Act database helpful
  • One to two years related experience and/or training
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

Title CNA w/QMAP – PRN

Position Overview:   The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) assists the professional staff by supporting each sister’s highest functional capacity.   The CNA provides a pleasant, neat, peaceful, and comfortable environment for the sisters who reside at the Sisters Care Unit under the direction of the nursing and medical staff.

Key Duties & Responsibilities 

People: Keeps the sister’s living area and work areas tidy, transfers sisters from one surface to another utilizing good body mechanics and safety practices for both, accurately measures and records vital signs, implements rehabilitative procedures such as range of motion, ambulation, and positioning, administers medications per standards of practice.

Quality: Follows the direction provided by each sister’s individual care plan, encouraging self-care whenever possible, assists sisters to be in the right place at the right time, such as meals, activities, church services and appointments, implements procedures for care of sisters’ personal property, reports observations of changes in sisters’ health status to the Charge Nurse promptly and completes a note in their respective charts, encourages socialization and participation in various activities, provides opportunities for sisters to spend time outdoors.

Operational Excellence:  Participates in planning of care for sisters, assists sisters with ADLs, uses supplies and equipment with economy and proper care, assists in the admission and discharge procedures of sisters, and provides after death care in accordance with policies.

Qualifications: Must have and maintain a C.N.A. license in good standing from the State of Colorado,  must have at least 1 year of CNA experience, QMAP responsibility at hire or willing to become QMAP certified within agreed upon timeframe,  computer experience with Word and Excel is a plus.

Schedule:   PRN position (as needed).
