Position Overview: Responsible for maintenance and repair of campus facilities to include the repair/troubleshooting of electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance issues campus wide, and for preventive maintenance on various equipment.

People: Works as a member of a team providing excellent customer service to the Ministries, responding to problems and requests for assistance. Monitors activities on campus to ensure a safe environment for all employees, residents, Sisters, and guests. 

Quality: Maintains equipment in an operable condition at all times. Necessary repairs will be reported to the Supervisor. Assists with auto care, including car washing, gassing, and minor repairs. Reports all problems and concerns immediately and makes supply runs, as requested.

Operational Excellence: Performs repairs on electrical problems, including bulb replacement, ballast exchanges, installation of new lighting, nurse call cords, and any other problems involving 110 voltage. Performs repair or replacement of plumbing fixtures and piping, including repairs to broken pipes. Responsible for HVAC units, filter replacement, and checking and maintaining all heating and cooling units. Performs general maintenance including carpet and tile installation, painting, carpentry, and masonry work. Performs snow removal duties as assigned, to include plowing, ice removal, clearing walks and roads and may assist in traffic control for campus activities.

Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, ceramic tile, and floor repair.
  • Experience in general facilities maintenance and repairs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Colorado driver’s license.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 am till 4:00 pm.

Title SECURITY GUARD – PART-TIME

Position Overview: Responsible for maintaining a safe environment for residents, employees, sisters, and guests. Ensures buildings are locked and secured. Interacts with residents, visitors and client representatives in a friendly, but professional, manner. Provides outstanding customer service while adhering to company and building policies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

People: Monitors activities on campus regularly to ensure a safe environment for all employees, residents, sisters and guests. Escorts staff to their vehicles and assures their safe departure. Serves as concerned public relations representative.

Quality:. Reports all hazards, incidents, on the job injuries, and maintain daily security logs and reports as required, performs specific security duties, including traffic control, patrols, and walk-through security inspections. Locks and unlocks buildings, as scheduled. Performs building inspections and checks all doors and lights on his/her shift, monitors and reports all mechanical room functions, and is responsible for timely reporting of accidents, thefts, and injuries.

Operational Excellence: 

Maintains a clear driving record, wears full and properly maintained uniform on his/her shift, wears and maintains appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as outlined for the position and follows all PPE policies and procedures. Performs daily water temperature test in the Nursing Center and Kitchen, performs monthly fire extinguisher and first aid station checks.  Performs minor maintenance service and repairs in the areas of electrical, plumbing, painting and plastering, carpentry, and carpet.  Performs vehicle servicing duties to include car washing, gassing, and minor repairs. Performs minor grounds maintenance duties to include watering, and sprinkler repair. Performs snow and ice removal duties.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires High School Diploma (or GED) and minimum 3 months relevant experience or training.

Schedule: 15 hours per week. Saturdays and Sundays, 7:30 am till 3:30 pm.

Position Overview: Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager and Culinary Services Director, the overall responsibility of the Dishwasher includes cleaning dishes, utensils, pots and pans used in all areas of the kitchen, nursing center, Sisters’ Convent, and Guest Dining Room, assisting in kitchen cleaning, and various other duties supporting kitchen operations and meal service.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

People: The Dishwasher must work in a team environment with other kitchen staff and may occasionally assist in food preparation.

Quality: The Dishwasher is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen per the posted cleaning schedule and proper operation of the dishwashing machines. The Dishwasher is also responsible for reporting any unsafe or hazardous conditions or defective equipment, scaling of dishwashing machines, ensuring appropriate temperature of dishwashing machines, and the proper drying and storing of dishes, etc.

Operational Excellence:  The Dishwasher must adhere to all operational procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen and will perform other duties as required by the Director or Kitchen Manager.

 Qualifications:

  • Must be service minded and reliable
  • Ability to organize time, priorities and schedules, adhering to deadlines
  • Solid track record of success in previous assignments
  • General knowledge of kitchen operations helpful

Title GROUNDSKEEPER – Seasonal

Key Duties & Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Facilities Department leadership, perform various grounds keeping activities to include lawn care, maintenance of trees, shrubs, flowers, and sprinkler systems. Assist in grounds maintenance campus-wide. 

Operational Excellence: Cut lawns, trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls. Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs. Spray lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. Rake and bag leaves. Clean grounds and remove litter. Plant and water grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Maintain sprinkler system including time clocks repair/replacement of sprinkler heads. Repair fences, gates, walls, walks and sign posts. Paint fences and outbuildings, parking lot lines, speed bumps, curbing, etc. Clean out drainage ditches and culverts. 

People: Perform varied security duties to ensure a safe environment for all employees, residents, sisters and guests. Perform snow removal duties as assigned, clearing walks and roads campus wide. Assist in funeral activities including the digging of graves. Make supply runs as needed. Assist with auto care campus wide, including car washing, gassing, and minor repairs.

Quality: Maintain equipment in an operable condition at all times. Necessary repairs will be reported to the Facilities Director. Sharpen tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, shears, and chain saw blades.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be at least 18 years old and maintain a valid Colorado driver’s license. High school diploma or GED, related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am till 4:00 pm, June through August.

Position Overview: Under the direction of the Housekeeping Manager, the Housekeeper will perform various tasks in St. Clare Convent, Canticle Chapel, cottages, and St. Joseph’s Administration building, to include thorough cleaning of facilities, replenishing supplies, making beds, doing laundry, and cleaning floors and windows. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

People: Work as a cooperative member of the team to insure facilities are clean and well maintained, assisting others, and filling in during absences, providing excellent customer service.

Quality Clean restrooms, fill paper towels and soap dispensers, make beds, wash windows, clean the tub room, lounge, and laundry room, clean the refrigerators, wash towels and bed linens, replenish necessary toilet tissue, paper towels and facial tissues, vacuum, dust, empty and dispose of trash throughout.

Operational Excellence: Help move furniture, as needed, prepare sleeping rooms for guests, assist in shampooing carpet and upholstery, assist with deep cleaning that may include cleaning blinds, washing windows, wiping down walls, cleaning and polishing furniture, and cleaning and maintaining equipment. Prepare and clean Sisters’ dining room before and after meals. 

Qualifications: Previous experience in housekeeping is required, as well as the ability to perform each essential duty of the job satisfactorily. 

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week including every other weekend, day shift.
