Position Overview: The Executive Director provides leadership and overall management of Franciscan Community Counseling (FCC) in the areas of planning, human resources, fundraising, financial management, public relations, and administration within a non-profit mental health agency/corporation, as well as provide counseling services to FCC clients.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
People: Supervises staff and volunteers: hiring, setting performance standards and development objectives, and performing evaluations. Ensures that volunteers and staff have adequate resources and support to carry out their work effectively. Provides mental health counseling to clients at FCC, and supervises interns as needed.
Quality: Provides leadership and works with the Board of Directors and CEO to develop agency policies and accomplish goals. Balances long range goals with day-to-day organizational activities, strategizes effective responses to critical issues within and around the organization, develops relationships with funders, prepares and submits grants, and meets with grantors for site visits. Represents the agency at meetings, activities, and committees outside the agency, as necessary.
Operational Excellence: Develops and presents annual budget to the Board of Directors for approval, oversees the budget, develops and implements financial management practices in compliance with auditing requirements and Board policies. Oversees the development and maintenance of administrative systems related to fundraising, to include obtaining grants, renewals, and acknowledgements. Oversees the development of marketing and public relations materials, the sale of Columbarium niches, and coordinates the Adopt a Sister program.
Licensed Clinician in the State of Colorado – PhD, LCSW, or LPC
Member of insurance panels, to include Medicare and Medicaid
Minimum 10 years of experience as a mental health counselor
Knowledge of accounting software, such as QuickBooks, is preferred
Management experience with a non-profit organization is desirable
Schedule: Approximately 40 hours per week M – F.
