Position Overview: The Restorative Aide/CNA will assist the nurses with direct care of nursing center residents/patients. Typical responsibilities include direct resident care to include bathing, dressing and undressing residents, serving food, transporting residents, and assisting residents to walk. Responsibilities will also include taking and recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, and providing direct nursing care according to all organizational policies and procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
People: The Restorative Aide/CNA will work as a member of our team ensuring the timely, compassionate, and appropriate care of residents. He/she will communicate effectively with co-workers and the Nurse in Charge.
Quality: Associate must adhere to all safety and procedural requirements in order to provide quality care. He/she must follow the documented care plan, perform correct transfers of residents, understand and follow correct equipment operations and activities, provide ROM/positioning and ambulation of residents, and assist in providing the least restrictive environment for residents. Must maintain a Colorado CNA license.
Operational Excellence: The CNA will participate in care planning, admissions and discharge processes, and orientation of new CNAs. The CNA will be dependable and reliable in attendance.
Must have current CNA license
Must be at least 18 years of age
Experience in long term care as a CNA is preferred
Experience with dementia is a plus
Schedule: Full-time averages 37.5 hours per week. Shifts to be 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM, including some weekends; flexible schedule.
