Position Overview: Under the direction of Nursing Center management, the RN is responsible for providing prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill, injured, convalescent, and disabled persons in the Nursing Center. Typical responsibilities include administering medications, keeping accurate records, taking vitals, dressing wounds, giving enemas, collecting samples for analysis, assessing residents and responding to their changes/needs, updating care plans, and assisting residents with basic needs and comfort. May make beds, bathe and feed residents, and supervise others. Nurse shall provide direct nursing care according to all organizational policies and procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
People: The RN will work as a member of our team ensuring the timely and appropriate care of residents. He/she will communicate effectively with co-workers and the Nurse Manager to be attentive and sensitive to the needs of the residents. The RN will help establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to rest, quiet, and peaceful living, as well as provide a safe and clutter-free environment. The RN will demonstrate empathy and compassion in daily interactions with residents, and supervise assigned CNAs.
Quality: The RN must adhere to all safety and procedural requirements in order to provide quality care. He/she must follow the documented care plan, accurately transcribe physician orders, and record all resident care. The RN must maintain a Colorado RN license and must report any injuries or unsafe conditions to management immediately.
Operational Excellence: The RN will participate in care planning, admissions and discharge processes, and orientation of new staff. He/she will attend in-service training and seminars, participate on committees, and perform all work with high ethical and performance standards. The RN will be dependable and reliable in attendance.
Schedule: Average 32 – 40 hours per week. Shift is 6 am – 2:30 pm, including every other weekend and some holidays.
Shift Differential Pay: $2.00/hour weekend days
