Position Overview: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for direct care of nursing center residents/patients.  Typical  responsibilities include answering call lights, bells, or intercoms to determine resident needs, bathing, dressing and undressing residents, serving food, transporting residents, assisting residents to walk, changing bed linens, taking and recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, and providing direct nursing care according to all organizational policies and procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

People: The CNA will work as a member of our team ensuring the timely, compassionate, and appropriate care of residents.  He/she will communicate effectively with co-workers and the Nurse in Charge.

Quality: The CNA must adhere to all safety and procedural requirements in order to provide quality care.  He/she must follow the documented care plan, perform correct transfers of residents, understand and follow correct equipment operations and activities, provide ROM/positioning and ambulation of residents, and assist in providing the least restrictive environment for residents. Must maintain a Colorado CNA license.

Operational Excellence:  The CNA will participate in care planning, admissions and discharge processes, and orientation of new CNAs. The CNA will be dependable and reliable in attendance.   

Qualifications:

    • Must have current CNA license
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Experience in long term care as a CNA is preferred
    • Experience with dementia is a plus

Schedule:  Full-time averages 32 – 37.5 hours per week.   Part-time averages 10 – 20 hours per week. Shifts are days (6 AM – 2 PM), evenings (2 PM – 10 PM), nights (10 PM – 6 AM) including some weekends.

Title RN or LPN – All Shifts

Position Overview: Under the direction of Nursing Center management, the RN or LPN is responsible for providing prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to residents in the Nursing Center.  Typical responsibilities include administering medications, keeping accurate records, taking vitals, dressing wounds, collecting samples for analysis, assessing residents and responding to their changes/needs, updating care plans, and assisting residents with basic needs and comfort.  Nurse shall provide direct nursing care according to all organizational policies and procedures.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

People: The RN/LPN will work as a member of our team ensuring the timely and appropriate care of residents.  He/she will communicate effectively with co-workers and Nurse Manager and will be attentive and sensitive to the needs of the residents, help to establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to rest, quiet, and peaceful living, and provide a safe and clutter-free environment.  RN/LPN will demonstrate empathy and compassion in daily interactions with residents, and supervise assigned CNAs.

Quality: The RN/LPN must adhere to all safety and procedural requirements in order to provide quality care.  He/she must follow the documented care plan, accurately transcribe physician orders, and record all resident care.

Operational Excellence:  The RN/LPN will participate in care planning, admissions and discharge processes, and orientation of new staff.  He/she will attend in-service training and seminars, and perform all work with high ethical and performance standards.

Qualifications:

  • Must have current RN or LPN license and CPR certification
    • AN or BSN is required
    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Minimum of two years experience in long term care preferred
    • Ability to stand and walk frequently
    • Experience with dementia is a plus

Schedule:  Full-time is 32 – 40 hours per week; Part-time averages 10 – 20 hours per week. Shifts are days (6 am – 2:30 pm), evenings (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm), and nights (10:00 pm – 6:30 am), including every other weekend and some holidays.

Title RECEPTIONIST – Part-Time

Position Overview:  Under the direction of the Health Information Manager, our receptionists are responsible for the “first impression” of all callers and guests to Mount St. Francis and its ministries, serving our residents, visitors, and associates by greeting and assisting them, scheduling various appointments, maintaining records and accounts, and performing various clerical duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:  The receptionist has responsibility for answering incoming calls and routing to the appropriate party for all of Mount St. Francis Ministries, welcoming residents, visitors, and associates by greeting them in person or on the telephone and answering or referring questions to the appropriate department. The receptionist facilitates outgoing calls from residents, associates, Sisters and visitors, and schedules appointments, as needed.

The receptionist provides trouble shooting for telephone, postage meter, and copier issues and refers unresolved problems to appropriate personnel, maintains monies pertaining to postage, meal tickets, and vending machines, collects and distributes mail, maintains office supply inventory, orders supplies, and schedules equipment maintenance.

The receptionist performs a variety of clerical duties to include typing memos, correspondence, reports, updates to telephone list, resident status and room rosters, and protects resident and associate’s rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information. The receptionist creates and maintains a calm, organized and clean environment in the lobby and reception area, and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school education or GED; six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • Computer, Microsoft Office, type 25+wpm and data entry skills are necessary.
  • Able to sort, file, and log various medical records in paper and digital format.
  • Mature, responsible, and dependable.
  • Skills in multi-tasking, flexibility, telephones, customer service, time management, organization, attention to detail, scheduling, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and professionalism.

Schedule: Varied schedule. May include weekend shifts. 4-5 hr shifts between 7a-9p; flexibility is required.

Position Overview:  Performs the day to day cleaning and laundry functions as assigned and other specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.  Responsible for mopping, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning and maintaining sanitary conditions in the Laundry Room and throughout the nursing center. Maintains equipment and supplies necessary to accomplish the cleaning of linen as assigned.  

Key Duties & Responsibilities: 

People:   Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, works as a cooperative member of the Housekeeping team, supporting the mission of The Sisters of St. Francis, and adheres to departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current professional standards and practices. 

Quality: The Housekeeper/Laundry Aide must adhere to all safety and procedural requirements in performing tasks.  He/she must understand and follow correct safety protocols.  

Operational Excellence:  The Laundry Aide will attend in-service training and seminars, participate on committees, and perform all work with high ethical and performance standards.  The Laundry Aide will be dependable and reliable in attendance. 

Qualifications: Experience is preferred. 

Schedule:  Average 37.5 hours per week.  Shift will vary (6 am – 2pm or 12 pm – 8 pm), 5 days per week, including weekends.
